In repentance and rest is your salvation. In quietness and trust is your strength." Isaiah 30:15
It's really hard for this girl to be quiet-reeeeaaaallly hard. But sometimes, it's what we need. To stop working a problem, to stop asking for answers, and to sit. Quietly. To listen. To rest. And trust Him for all we need.
Blessings and I'll see you in a week:)
Excellent advice. I love the verse that says, He quiets us with His love! :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI saw on Sheri's blog that you tried to push through the book House. I read it, but it wasn't my favorite. The movie was creepy. lol
:o)
ReplyDeleteThink this is what I was needing to read today.
Yes. So freeing in the Lord...His yoke is easy and His burden is light...We never regret obeying that still small Voice. : )
ReplyDeleteBless you!
On my way home from work I thought about everything I need to accomplish this weekend because I have the weekend off. A song came on about going home and hitting the couch (something like that), and I started thinking I never come home and crash on the couch and just watch TV. You just added the icing on the cake. I'll plan to rest some this weekend.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a restful weekend too!
My sister and I were just talking about this over the weekend. About how sometime, we just need to sit and be still and listen. No distraction, no noise.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Susan. :)
Quiet time is so important, and its sad that many homes always have tv background noise or something going on. Thanks for sharing this verse, Susan :-)
