Quiet Time

Fridays are typically my Bookshelf day, but this week I'm doing something a little different-taking a break:) God keeps bringing a verse to my heart and I'm going to take the next week to listen to it:

In repentance and rest is your salvation. In quietness and trust is your strength." Isaiah 30:15

It's really hard for this girl to be quiet-reeeeaaaallly hard. But sometimes, it's what we need. To stop working a problem, to stop asking for answers, and to sit. Quietly. To listen. To rest. And trust Him for all we need.

Blessings and I'll see you in a week:)

  1. Excellent advice. I love the verse that says, He quiets us with His love! :) Have a great weekend!

I saw on Sheri's blog that you tried to push through the book House. I read it, but it wasn't my favorite. The movie was creepy. lol

  3. Yes. So freeing in the Lord...His yoke is easy and His burden is light...We never regret obeying that still small Voice. : )

    Bless you!

  4. On my way home from work I thought about everything I need to accomplish this weekend because I have the weekend off. A song came on about going home and hitting the couch (something like that), and I started thinking I never come home and crash on the couch and just watch TV. You just added the icing on the cake. I'll plan to rest some this weekend.
Hope you have a restful weekend too!

  5. My sister and I were just talking about this over the weekend. About how sometime, we just need to sit and be still and listen. No distraction, no noise.

    Thanks for sharing, Susan. :)

  6. Quiet time is so important, and its sad that many homes always have tv background noise or something going on. Thanks for sharing this verse, Susan :-)
