The LORD makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him;
though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
Psalm 94:18
When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, LORD, supported me.
Psalm 121:2-4
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
After the third passage, I began to think maybe God had a theme He wanted to share with me this week.
Life can get crazy. It can feel insecure, and the ground beneath us can crumble. In a breathe, we can loose our footing and slip. But every time—every time—He is there. In the midst of our craziness, He steadies us. With His strength, He catches us. Though we stumble, He will not let us fall. Wow. Talk about security. What else in life can provide that?
I’m not sure where you are today, but know He’s holding you firmly and tightly in His grasp and He won’t let go.

So encouraging! Perfect for Monday morning. I've been trying to have a good attitude about my day job (which is actually an awesome job - I'd just rather be at home in my PJs writing)...and I've slipped up on that this morning. Your post is such a good reminder that God can and will pull me up...thanks for the morning blessing! :)
ReplyDeleteVery encouraging! It's easy to feel like we're alone sometimes, and ask ourselves, "what can I do?" He's invited us to cast ALL of our cares on Him. He wants to carry the burden, because He cares for us. And like you said, He has a firm, tight grasp on us.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!!
Have a blessed day, Susan!
