1. Fizzy Coke from McDonalds.
2. Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt.
3. Biggby's (that's a local coffee shop) Cinnamon Spice Tea Latte
4. Cadbury Mini Eggs - the dark chocolate w/ the hard shell. They used to only come out at Easter but now they have Christmas ones. That means I can stock up early!
5. Warm homemade chocolate chip cookies and a big glass of milk.
Our diet cannot survive on these treats alone, and we definitely don't need them to live, but they sure are fun to add in every now and then. And that's the thing about God. He doesn't just meet our needs, He gives us these silly little enjoyments outside of them.
What are those little extra treats in your life?
I've never heard of Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt but I need that experience! Today! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for my assortment of creamers and teas, Nestle Treasures with the caramel and speaking of caramel, caramel apples! Not the dip but the actual apples dipped in it and rolled in nuts and of course...funnel cakes! my oh my!
Reese Peanut Butter Hearts sold at Valentine. Reese Peanut Butter Eggs sold at Easter. No matter the shape, I love them! God put chocolate and peanut butter together as a treat for my little celebrations.
ReplyDeleteSome see God as a cosmic kill-joy, but He delights in blessing His children.
Jess - Ghirardelli makes a good one that's easy to find...and then there's specialty shops. It's one of my absolute favorite treats! And my Hubby shares your love of those apples, the real deal ones that are like 10 pounds by the time they've dipped and rolled them!
ReplyDeletePaula - Oh yea! And the seasonal ones are the best because they're chocked full of peanut butter. I'm convinced Reese's does something special to theirs! Cosmic kill-joy! HA! He does delight in our delights, doesn't He?:)
Those lovely, little round truffles in the red wrapper. I believe they're made by Lindor. Delicious!!!
ReplyDeleteKorean organic green tea, Taza Mexican chocolate discs, and sweet comments from contest entrants!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!

Um, yes, I posted twice. My browser is misbehaving!!
Ooh, I loooove those mini-eggs from Cadbury. So delicious!
ReplyDeleteMy coworker has been bringing in these dark chocolate-covered carmels with sea salt. A-ma-zing.
I love a perfectly made frozen mocha with whipped cream. Mmm...ooh, and pumpkin spice mochas...and ice cream. I'm a total ice cream fanatic.
I'm also now very hungry. :)
Michelle - I've seen them, but haven't tried them! Add 'em to the list:)
ReplyDeletePatti - Again, something I haven't tried! Those Taza discs sound fantastic. I love different twists on chocolate, because really, a little chocolate makes everything taste better!
Melissa - ohhhh, dark chocolate covered caramels w/ sea salt? I just found a recipe for bars that is very similar. Yumminess. And pumpkin spice is another of my favorites that I must confess I am slightly bitter they only make in the fall...have you tried Starbucks Salted Caramel Mocha Latte? You should - next fall. Yeah, another seasonal drink. B/c my tastebuds only crave those things September - December apparently:)
