Time for the simple things. I'm so thankful for:
1 - laughter in my house
2 - the sound of rain on my roof while I sleep
3 - the days growing longer...spring is here!
4 - big, sloppy kisses from my kids and their hugs--they give the best hugs!
5 - the quiet of a morning
How about you today? What simple blessings put a smile on your face?
1. purr of a cat lying next to me
ReplyDelete2. the sound of the wind whipping through the trees
3. the chirp of birds outside my window
4. the brightness of the moon at night
5. the array of stars that dot the night sky
6. the words of encouragement and love from friends
7. dreams
8. giggles and laughter throughout the day in my home
9. music
10. Promises from the Lord
:o)
is ten enough or shall I continue?
:o)
Oh! We've got the wind whipping too-love it!! Praying you have a week blessed with the simple things as you take time to rest:)
DeleteToday I woke up at my usual 5 a.m. time. Got a couple things done. Fell back asleep for another 30 minutes. Oh, what a blessing!
ReplyDeleteAlso, a coworker brought bagels today. Mmm... :)
I love mornings where I get to fall back asleep snuggle back in! And bagels? Everything Bagels are one of my favorite morning treats, toasted with just a smear of cream cheese-yum!
DeleteYou're first thankful item struck me -- we should be thankful for something as simple as laughter. There are so many people in the world who do not have joy.
ReplyDeleteWhich brings me to what I'm most thankful for:
A second chance to please God every day.
For God's care and protection. We worry about so many things, but since God has promised to take care of us, trust is all that's needed.
For a place to live, food to eat, clothes to wear, and modern luxuries such as electricity, cars, cell phones and cable.
And, of course -- my new computer :-)
Beautiful, Gwen- love how you put that "second chance"...He loves us so, doesn't He? And I loved your story about your computer-a huge blessing!
DeleteLooking out the window to see hubby washing my car. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWaking up my 8 year old son in the morning, that sweet look on his face when he sees me, and throws his arms around me to give me a hug.
And right before I close the door to his room at night, and he says, "God bless you, Mom." :::sigh::: Melts my heart.
Have a blessed day, Susan!
They do melt our hearts, don't they? My son is almost twelve and I LOVE that he still hugs me every morning and night. Oh, and hubby washing the cars? Love!
