Blessing Wednesday

It's Easter Week!!!

I admit, the Hallelujahs and Amens stream out of me a bit more this week. I mean, how can they not? Along with the tears. I simply weep at the thought of what Christ did for me, for you, for us all...no one has ever loved me that much. Faults and all...yet all He sees is my beauty.

HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD!

His love is all encompassing.

Uh-Maz-ing

So today I simply want to sing praises to Him. And while I so could have put together a beautiful vlog of me singing, I thought you'd enjoy this more:)

Okay - for all of you out there, what is your favorite praise song you'll be belting out this Easter? I love this song and this video, but I have to say for me it's a split between the old and the new...Casting Crowns Glorious Day and the hymn How Great Thou Art.

Whatever it is, add a few more 'Praise the Lord' into it - He is so worthy of our praise!

  1. I can totally relate to what you're saying, Susan. While washing my hands today, I looked into the mirror at the cross that hangs on my neck. I couldn't help but deeply think about the cross and what it means. I thought about how unthinkably horrific it was for Jesus -- while at the same time, words cannot express how completely beautiful the cross is. There is nothing else like it! Needless to say, I wept. I'm so undeserving, yet He died on the cross for me. He suffered for me. I will never get over it, and every day I am in AWE! Like you say, UH-MAH-ING! God's love for us is too amazing for words!

One of my favorite praise songs is "From the Inside Out," by Hillsong. It's one of those songs that truly takes my breath away. We sang it in church last week, and my heart was literally pounding in my chest, completely overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit.

I posted it on my blog last year. http://sweettreatsandinspiration.blogspot.com/2011/02/hillsong-from-inside-out.html

    Hope you're having a great week, Susan! : )

  2. I love, love, love the hymn "Christ the Lord is Risen Today." I actually have to work this Easter which I'm kind of bummed about. I adore going to the church I grew up in on Easter. But, I'll be serving meals to homeless individuals and families, and I know that's important too. If ever there was a day when *everyone* should celebrate, it's Easter!!

  3. Michelle - That's a great song too. And glad to know I'm not the only one who spontaneously bursts into tears when it hits me...His sacrifice for me:) Have a fabulous Easter!

Melissa - I am all about hymns! I have a whole Pandora list of them...and you can throw out a few Amens and PTL's when you're serving:) What an awesome way to spend Easter!
