Hey all,
First off, Michelle, you're the winner! I know many of you started memorizing Scripture this past month, and Michelle is the first winner. Michelle has a sweet little blog called Sweet Treats & Inspiration...if you haven't ever visited, go now:) It's full of music, books, encouragement, and even a recipe or two. Michelle, take a look at all the books on my Bookshelf (check out Bookshelf Friday under the Categories on my sidebar) and pick the one you want. Then contact me with your address so I can get the book and a small package out to you. Great job at the memorization! And the rest of you keep memorizing because I'll be pulling a name again after June.
For a refresher, here's our current verse. Next week I'll post the second one for June:
Create in me a pure heart, oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
And it's Wednesday! So let's count those blessings:)
This week I'm totally blessed by:
~Finding a new game to play today with my BFF and our kids. Anyone heard of GaGa ball? Serious fun...and such a simple game. Laughter, exercise, and competition all in one place! Added joy--I was the GaGa ball champ. Oh...the simple things:)
~The sales I made, and the deals I found at our used bookstore sale for home school curriculum.
~All the athletes and volunteers I ran into on Sunday (if you missed my Monday blog, check it out here).
~Finally breaking through my writing rut and nailing down 6000 words in two days.
~God's gift of grace and patience.
Blessings you guys ~ share some ~ and I hope your week is going great!
Wow! What an awesome surprise! Thank you so much, Susan! And so many awesome books to choose from! After agonizing over the list, I'm going to choose Submerged. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings---
The ability to do a workout.
A bowl full of fresh picked cherries.
Getting to see a lighthouse in person for the first time -- I LOVE lighthouses! :)
I've never heard of GaGa ball, but now you have me intrigued! :)
Hope you're having a great week, and thanks again! I really appreciate it! I'll send you an email with my info.
Congratulations on the 6000 words! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the "shout out" -- I really appreciate it! You are too sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteI also sent you a message on goodreads.
I'll look for it - and great pick! I'm anxiously awaiting the next one in that series:) I'll be mailing something out to you by the weekend:)
DeleteThank you, thank you! I'm looking forward to it. : )
DeleteYay for blessings!! The ones on the top of my head this morning:
ReplyDelete-My new car. Fun!
-I'm on track with my summer writing goals. Thank you, Jesus!
-This weekend my parents are going out of town, so I'm camping out at their house all alone to write. It's the best writing place ever...something to mega look forward to. :)
Thanks for always turning my mind the right direction during Blessing WEdnesdays, Susan!
Oh! What did you get? And what color? Good job on meeting your summer goals--I hope to get a mini-retreat in next week. I have to say, my mom has the perfect writing spot too...this little yellow room with windows all around and this antique desk that fits me so well...one day she's gonna come home and it'll be gone:) Have a great weeekend!
DeleteI just saw your name on Jessica Patch's blog and thought I'd stop by to chat! I can't wait to poke around your cyber home - it looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDelete-I'm thankful for selling our first home two weeks ago! We carried two mortgages for a year and it's so refreshing to have just one home again.
-I'm thankful for my husband's business - he just took a leap of faith LAST night to hire a full time empoloyee - along with his four part time employees. It has been on his heart for five years and God brought the PERFECT person for the job.
-I'm thankful for stumbling across a new blog to follow. :)
Gabrielle, great to meet you! And those are amazing things to be thankful for...owning your own business, wondering who to hire and when is incredibly hard. So glad God brought just the right people--and incredible blessing!
DeleteHope you keep stopping by. I typically try and chat the same day I post, but the kids and I have been running around these past two days...summer time was supposed to slow down around here but I think I was only fooling myself:)
