Blessing Wednesday / Word Wednesday

So ready to focus on my blessings...it's been a long week and I'm choosing joy right now!

This week I'm thankful for:

~Fathers. I have been so blessed with wonderful fathers in my life. Dad. Dad-in-law. And Hubby:) I am so very, very thankful for all three of them.

~The heat!

~Air Conditioning!

~My kids laughing together and loving each other. Seriously. They even asked to sleep in each others' rooms. LOVE seeing the three of them discover the blessing of each other. It blesses this mama hugely!

~Prayer warriors. I love that the body of Christ prays for one another. And that God hears those prayers.

What are you thankful for today? I'd love to hear...

And for anyone working at memorizing Scripture, here's our next verse for June:

Don't be afraid for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Have a blessed Wednesday, friends!

  1. You've listed some great blessings and I can echo all of them. I'm especially thankful for a hard working husband, good health, happy children and supportive family that live close by.

Yay for counting blessings! It's always a good thing. :)

  2. Great list of blessings, Susan! I'm thankful for all of those things too, except maybe not the heat, lol. I'm more of a cold weather girl myself, but I'm becoming more tolerant of the heat.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled today, and I'm thankful that the whole ordeal isn't as bad as I thought it would be. ;-)

Thanks for the new memory verse -- one of my favorites!

  3. I am thankful for an amazing gift God has given me to be able to write a Bible study for new and growing believers and be able to teach the class. Yesterday while I was at the church office, working--alone it smacked me in the face, "Some of these, most of these people coming to your class will never have done a study in their life. Your study will be their first." And I was overwhelmed to humble tears over that fact and then of course the grace of God because really, I don't deserve it. God is so faithful and wonderful, it's simply overwhelming (in a good good way!)

    Happy Wednesday!

    1. See...I'm so spoiled with my family close by! Glad your sis can visit you. And you are blessed to be somewhere w/ people who can make you laugh--when I was working I had the same thing...still love that old crew. We ranged in age from 20-60, and there were only 6 of us, but we sure had a blast!

  5. What a great list.

My boys are 12 years apart and I'm thankful for what a close relationship they have even though they are at very different points in their lives.

Thanks for encouraging us to be thankful!
