We had a wonderful vacation and are settling back in here at home. Can you even believe summer is half over??? I know, I'll hush now :)
And it's Wednesday! Time to count our blessings, and today I have to start with one of my favorites:
~my daughter Ella. Ten years ago today this amazing blessing entered our lives...our first little girl and entry into all things sparkling and glittery.
~the color purple - seriously. Without it sunsets wouldn't be nearly as beautiful. (and the movie was amazing too)
~homemade lemonade. It is one of my favorite drinks in summer. On the 4th of July they were selling it in the park and there's nothing better.
~the breeze. Another creative thing God created for us way before air conditioning. I am beyond thankful for it!
~my small town. At times I forget how blessed I am to live here, but I truly am.
What are you thankful for today? Share!
So glad to hear that you had a wonderful vacation, and I LOVE your list of blessings! : )
ReplyDeleteToday I'm thankful for . . .
Sweet Corn
Sweet smelling Organix Shampoo and Conditioner
Getting in a good workout
Starting the day with coffee and a bible study.
Have a great day! : )
Ditto - in fact, I think you've challenged me with yours:) I need a good workout, and I got my coffee but haven't done my Bible study yet. Ohhh, and I LOVE sweet corn. However, I seem to have jumped the age gap with it and now cut it off the cob to eat so I don't get stuff stuck in my teeth...oh boy, my kids think I"m as crazy as I used to call my parents and grandparents for doing that:) Blessings, Michelle!
DeleteI'm pretty sure I've said "coffee" on almost every blessings Wednesday. :) But, today I have a slight variation: frozen hazelnut latte. Mmmm....
ReplyDeleteOther things I'm thankful for today:
An early morning of quiet time with God and writing.
Keli Gwyn's debut novel. So good!
Recent fun steps forward in my writing life.
Family. Always, always...family!
I love hazelnut lattes:) And congrats again on your steps forward - so excited for you!
DeleteAlways love reading your "thankful" list. A VERY happy birthday to your sweet, 10-year-old, Ella! Hadn't really given breeze much consideration, until I read your description of it as air-conditioning before, AC. You're absolutely right - one more thing to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for my family, a good job for my daughter, and the opportunity to read God's Word. And for the comment you made over at Life Lessons! I can totally relate to your comment. My thing right now is impatience. I just want to submit my book proposal for closure. Following in obedience IS crucial. Keep reminding myself to do what I'm doing "heartily, as to the Lord..." (Col. 3:23) - I want what I submit to represent my very best effort! God bless you, my friend!
:) So true, Maria. And that's a perfect verse, thanks so much!
DeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for summer even if it's half over. Even when it's over 100 degrees. I still love it.
I'm so happy my son is home for the summer.
I'm thankful for you and my other writing friends.
Thanks once again for reminding us to be thankful!
Jackie
