Blessing Wednesday

Happy Wednesday one and all :) Hope you're having a fantastic week. I'm squeezing the last little bit of summer out--I think I've said that all this month! Ohhhhh, I don't want summer to end! Along those lines, here's my blessing count for today:

~hot, long, gorgeous summer days. We have been blessed with an amazingly beautiful, blue-skied summer.

~not having to use an alarm clock

~playtime and the blessing of friends to play with!

~family places on the water to play at

~fresh fruit...watermelon, strawberries, peaches, blueberries...thanks to the farmers who grow them, for allowing us to pick them, for the fruit stands to stop at when I'm too lazy to pick them...oh, I will miss thee, fresh fruit...

To those of you who've finished your summer, well, you had an earlier start than us Northerners:) To those who still have a week left, go play! And to all of you, count some of your blessings today!

  1. While summer is technically over and the kids are in school, it's still super hot outside, but I'm thankful for tall glasses of lemonade and air conditioning!

    1. Oh, I LOVE lemonade...anything lemon, really. And A/C. I'm constantly thankful for A/C. I love fresh air, but I also love not sweating.

  2. Great summer blessings, Susan! The kids are back in school here, too, but it's still very hot, and it will be for about 2 more months her in CA. It's usually 90 degrees when we're picking out pumpkins. Just doesn't seem right, lol.

Today I'm thankful for iced coffee, A/C, and Love's Reckoning by Laura Frantz in my hands. : )

    Happy Wednesday!

    1. I haven't read that one yet. I'd love to hear what you think. I can't believe you all started school too! And you're picking out pumpkins? We're not there yet:)

  3. I went to a funeral this morning...thankful for God's peace and comfort and the truth that He is in control. He's faithful even when life hits those crappy patches, if you'll pardon the lingo. He's good. And that's what I'm most thankful for today.
