~Blessed by those who have fought for my right to vote yesterday. I truly cannot say thank-you enough.
~Blessed by those who spent the day working the polls. Over here it went smoothly and everyone had a smile. Loved that.
~Blessed by my Pandora streaming Christmas music!! I have to say, I have loved the invention of Pandora and the ease with which I can listen to whatever genre of music I feel like in the moment. And right now, that's Christmas music. (No hating here, people, because YES I know Thanksgiving is next, and if someone records a Thanksgiving record, I'll happily listen to it. Otherwise, Christmas is what's playing to ring in this Holiday season!)
~Blessed and oh-so-thankful for the safe travel of Hubby and Son as they drove to Florida and back last week.
~Blessed by my youngest girl who will turn seven this coming week. She makes me laugh every day. I wish I had half her energy and bravery. The girl will try anything. No fear. No giving up. Love it.

I am thankful that I have opportunities through our rights to teach my children about the importance of freedom. Myles was so into the election yesterday and wanted to understand every single thing. He even wanted to stay up, but none of us could. I checked my phone at 2 am.
I'm thankful for interesting conversations at work this morning. In my office, we're divided exactly in half as to political affiliation. :) So, it was kind of cool to get together and hear everyone's thoughts--even if half of us were on the sad side this morning. :)

I spent yesterday after work searching for a twin mattress and box springs for our sweet granddaughter who will be 3 in Dec. Also she's expecting a new little sister in Dec. So she's hoping to move into her big girl furniture this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful I stumbled onto the mattress store where I bought it. One place was like a used car place. They kept changing the price. Anyway, when I found this one mattress store, they were kind and sincere. I was so impressed and appreciative!
Oh, by the way, I'm giving Brook the twin bed and dresser that my 74 year old mother used when she was growing up. I'm so excited my daughter-in-law likes it.

As far as blessings go . . . I'm just thankful for everything, lol. The good, the bad, and the ugly . . . God's using all of it to do amazing things in me. : )
