Blessing Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everybody! Hope your week is going well...Christmas shopping in full swing, parties with family and friends, lotsa treats to eat, maybe even some snow in places. Oh so many blessings, so let's count them!

This week I am thankful for:

~Warm, cozy meals that I can place on my table. It's really getting cold around here, and I'm blessed to have a stove and the food to cook in it so I can place a warm meal on our table.

~Funny Christmas movies to watch with the family. I love this tradition!

~Laughter with friends

~Hands that work...I type. A lot. I am blessed to have fully functioning, pain-free hands and wrists.

~Working taste buds. Sounds silly. I know. But think about what it would be like - especially this time of year - if you couldn't enjoy all the wonderful sweets and treats. My father-in-law is struggling through chemo right now and it's temporarily taken away his ability to taste, so I am giving thanks for this blessing today!

What about you? Big or small, start counting your blessings and share a few here!

  2. My daughter-in-law is expecting their second child. Due date Dec. 28. For health reasons, she HAS to have a c-section. I'm so happy somebody discovered c-sections. (Created them?)
She's been having contractions since Sunday and been to the doctor twice. I'm glad she made it through one more day.
My youngest son took his last final for the semester today. He works until Sunday, and then he'll be home for Christmas. Definitely thankful for that.
I'm thankful my sweet hubby didn't have to fly to Texas. His trip is postponed until January.
    Lots to be thankful for!!!
I pray you father-in-law might find something delicious to him to enjoy eating soon!

  3. I am thankful for friends and for family ... and for the hope that is woven all through this season.
And for the beauty of Christmas lights and Christmas music . . .

  4. Love the blessings that you've shared! I'm thankful for those things, too!

And in light of the end of the semester, I'm thankful that my youngest daughter passed all of her classes . . . it was touch and go there for awhile, especially in algebra.

If I don't talk to you before then, I pray that you and your family have a blessed and Merry Christmas!
