Learn the Word Wednesday - Verse #2

If you remember, this month the verses are all about battling fear. So for our second verse of January we're learning Psalm 56:3-4.

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

It comes from when David is fleeing from Saul, and I love this picture because David spent a lot of time in the mountains when he was on the run.

Hopefully by now you have Joshua 1:9 memorized and are ready to start on this one. How are you doing? I stuck the verse from Joshua on my phone and am amazed at how seeing it there has really helped me remember it that much more. I'll be doing the same with this verse. What tricks are you using?

Best of luck:) I'm praying for you all! And don't forget to click over here and add the verse to your Pinterest board!

  1. I love this verse and I pinned it (from your actual blog)! I've been using the fighter verse on my iPad and doing the "quizzes"...those aren't as easy as they look, but filling in the blanks has helped me learn so much!

    2. I like the one where you have to put in the first letter of the missing word - that's been the most helpful to me.

You pinned right from my blog, w/o using the link? You can do that???

  2. Ahh, I'm mad at myself that I still haven't downloaded the app you and others mentioned. I'm going to do it. Today! But I do love Joshua 1:9. It's a verse we learned back in AWANA (if you know what that is) and has stuck with me since I was a kid...

  3. I downloaded the Fighter app too -- love it! Had fun with some of the quizzes. And I started a "The Word" board over on my Pinterest page. Loving this, Susan! Thank you!!
