Yes, it's typically my Bookshelf Friday day, but I'm going on a mini-vacation. Up here in Michigan we squeeze every drop out of summer we can to combat the cold that will shortly arrive. Our schools don't start until the day after labor day, and although we homeschool, we share that schedule:)
We've been spending a LOT of time at the beach:) |
And keep and eye out for Bookshelf Fridays in September because the first 3 weeks will involve giveaways of some books I'm anxiously awaiting!
If you're already back at school, how did you celebrate your end of summer? If you're still playing, what's on your schedule?

Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time off with your family.
Thanks, Jackie! I'm looking forward to it:)
DeleteHave a great vacation! My grandsons in Texas started back to school this week. To say they weren't thrilled would be an understatement.
ReplyDeleteGrandsons? No way:) My kids aren't thrilled we're on the countdown either. They remind their teacher everyday that summer should last at least another month. She's about to give in;)
DeleteEveryone is scrambling to get in the last few days of summer vacation, which around here in NOVA means congestion and road jams. I have to say I'll be delighted when school starts again just so I can go to the grocery store in peace.
ReplyDeleteLOL! What's that like exactly? :) Honestly, the day my oldest grew old enough to stay home with the other two was a celebration here! Oh to shop by myself again. It's a luxury!!
DeleteEnjoy this precious time with them, Susan. They won't be at home forever. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dora:) It's already going too fast!
DeleteHooray for a little time off!! Enjoy!! =]
ReplyDeleteI will! Hubby's taking a few days too, so I'm looking forward to it even more!
DeleteEnjoy your time away!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having fun!
