Quotable Wednesdays
I LOVE this quote!
I love how it flips our minds on end. We so often don't think of JOY and SERIOUS in the same sentence. Life down here can be ohhhhh so serious at times. But in heaven? When we get down to business, we're getting down to JOY!
Love love love that:)
Acts 2:28 (from the Message) puts it so well:
I saw God before me for all time. Nothing can shake me; he’s right by my side. I’m glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I’ve pitched my tent in the land of hope. I know you’ll never dump me in Hades; I’ll never even smell the stench of death. You’ve got my feet on the life-path, with your face shining sun-joy all around.
Oh. In the middle of winter that sun-joy sounds even better:)
Get down to the business of JOY today, friends!
*I'll be taking a blogging break until February 12th as I spend some time with my husband. Because, yeah, I kinda like the guy;) But if you really miss me before that, you can catch me over at Seriously Write on February 6th.

"I've pitched my tent in the land of hope." LOVE that!
ReplyDeleteMe too!! That whole verse is full of nuggets:)
DeleteCan you imagine how great it'll be to see God before us at all times? No cranky, rude, or mean people to deal with.
ReplyDeleteEven though I know God is always with me, seeing Him will be AWESOME.
So glad you shared this. Enjoy time with your hubby, Susan.
That's exactly what I was going to say, Melissa! I love the idea of pitching my tent in the land of hope!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this Susan, and enjoy spending extra time with your husband! :)
